OVERVIEW OF THE FIRM’S Fees FOR PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS

Lawyers generally charge by the hour, with different hourly rates depending on experience. It can be difficult to provide quotes or accurate fee estimates for certain areas of law due to being unable to quantify exactly what may be involved. Despite this, we believe there are certain areas of law where fixed fees can apply, or at the very least, accurate fee estimates.

Sale and Purchase Agreements, Property Titles, LIM, Conveyancing  Lawyer Tauranga | The Firm

Fixed Fees (plus GST and disbursements):

Buying a house in an urban area:

No Mortgage: $1,750.00

One Bank Mortgage: $2,000.00

KiwiSaver Application: +$175.00 per Application

HomeStart Grant: +$175.00 per Application

Selling a house in an urban area:

No Mortgage: $1,500.00

One Bank Mortgage: $1,750.00

Changes to your Mortgage:

Registration of Mortgage: $750.00

Variation of Mortgage: $750.00

Discharge (no repayment): $500.00

Discharge (repayment): $750.00

Refinance (discharge and new mortgage): $1,250.00

FEE ESTIMATEs (PLUS GST AND DISBURSEMENTS)

CONVEYANCING:

Freeholding a cross-lease property (two titles): $2,500.00-$3,000.00

Advising on an Occupation Right Agreement (also known as a Licence to Occupy): $1,200.00-$1,500.00
