Ben Strydom

Law Clerk

Ben Morné Strydom is a Law Clerk at The Firm Lawyers, bringing a solid legal foundation and wide-ranging practical experience to our team. He completed his B.A. (Law) in 2014 and LLB in 2016 in South Africa, where he also undertook two years of practical legal training at a respected law firm. Ben then practised as a lawyer for five years before relocating to New Zealand in March 2024 with his wife and daughter.

Ben has worked across a broad spectrum of legal matters, including debt recovery for Body Corporates, residential and commercial evictions, divorce proceedings, domestic violence and harassment matters, contract disputes, and drafting both commercial and residential leases. He has a growing interest in family trust law and conveyancing and is actively expanding his expertise in these areas.

Clients value Ben for his clear communication style, attention to detail, strong ethics, and solution-focused approach. He is committed to providing practical, supportive, and compassionate guidance. Ben is currently completing the required conversion process to become admitted as a solicitor in New Zealand.

Outside of work, Ben is family-oriented and community-minded. He enjoys rugby and cricket, exploring new places, and spending quality time with his family.
