Our Fees
Lawyers generally charge by the hour, with different hourly rates depending on experience. It can be difficult to provide quotes or accurate fee estimates for certain areas of law due to being unable to quantify exactly what may be involved. Despite this, we believe there are certain areas of law where fixed fees can apply, or at the very least, accurate fee estimates.

Fixed Fees (plus GST and disbursements):
Buying a house in an urban area:
No Mortgage: $1,750.00
With one Bank Mortgage: $2,000.00
KiwiSaver Application: +$175.00 per Application
HomeStart Grant: +$175.00 per Application
Selling a house in an urban area:
No Mortgage: $1,500.00
With one Bank Mortgage: $1,750.00
Changes to your Mortgage:
Registration of Mortgage: $750.00
Variation of Mortgage: $750.00
Discharge (no repayment): $500.00
Discharge (repayment): $750.00
Refinance (discharge and new mortgage): $1,250.00
Family Trusts:
Settlement of a Family Trust: $2,000.00
This includes a folder and overview booklet, preparation of a Trust Deed, Will, Memorandum of Wishes, Deed of Indemnity, Opening Minutes and an Application for IRD number.
Transfer of existing property to Family Trust (no mortgage): $1,200.00
Transfer of existing property to Family Trust (with one mortgage): $1,500.00
Preparing a new Memorandum of Wishes: $300.00
Wills:
Individual: $300.00
Couple: $550.00

Preparation of a Separation Agreement (when reasonably straightforward and the parties are in agreement - does not include the transfer of assets): $1,750.00-$2,250.00
ESTATES:
Application for Probate: $1,250.00-$1,500.00
Letters of Administration: $1,500.00-$2,000.00
COMMERCIAL:
Preparation of an ADLS Deed of Lease: $750.00-$1,250.00
Preparation of an ADLS Agreement to Lease: $500.00-$750.00
Preparation of a Company Constitution, Shareholders Agreement and supporting Resolutions: $2,000.00-$3,000.00
Terms of trade: $2,000.00-$2,500.00
Registration of a financing statement on the Personal Properties Securities Register: $250.00

The Firm reserves the right to withdraw its Fixed Fee offer should unforeseen circumstances arise which result, or may result, in the services which will be provided far exceeding the circumstances envisaged when The Firm set these Fixed Fees. In such a case, The Firm’s terms of engagement and information for clients will apply, in conjunction with any updated Letter of Engagement. Our Fee Estimates are indications only. Should you instruct us on any of the Fee Estimate matters above, we will review the unique circumstances of your matter and provide you with a Letter of Engagement containing a fee estimate tailored to your matter.
